Police investigate robbery of taxi driver

Police are investigating an incident where a taxi driver was robbed last night in Halifax.

On March 28 at approximately 10:50 p.m., police responded to a report that two customers, a man and a woman, assaulted a taxi driver and stole his phone. The suspects fled the taxi on foot in the 1000 block of Gottingen Street.

Officers arrested the woman nearby without incident. Kyrley Alexa Jane Rogers, 27, will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of robbery and breach of a release order.

Police are continuing to look for the second suspect who is described as a white man in his 40’s or 50’s.
