Halifax District RCMP is asking for the public’s help in identifying three men involved in a theft of tires in Upper Tantallon

On March 8, 2022, shortly after midnight, a black Jeep Cherokee and a brown Honda Civic parked near a storage container located beside a hardware store at 5130 on St. Margarets Bay Rd. in Upper Tantallon. A man, wearing a black vest over a grey sweater, exited the Jeep walked to the storage container, gained entry and stole tires from the storage container, placing them in the Jeep before leaving the area.

At approximately 4:00 a.m. the same night, a U-Haul truck arrived near the same storage container. Three men exited the U-Haul, one man, with similar physical description as before, entered the storage container while another stood in the back of the U-Haul and the third male stood guard. The men stole approximately 50 tires before leaving the scene.
