N.S. participates in Wear Red Canada event to raise awareness about women’s heart health

On Sunday, Feb. 13 Canadians are invited to wear red in recognition of the national Wear Red Canada campaign aimed at raising awareness about women’s heart health.​

To celebrate this national event and learn more about women’s heart health issues, the Canadian Women’s Heart Health Alliance and the Canadian Women’s Heart Health Centre is hosting a free, national webinar.

Hear from Canadian women’s heart health experts and advocates from the comfort of your own home or workplace. Local special guest appearances include celebrity chef and Master Chef Canada runner-up Andy Haye and Olympic performance dietician Angela Defour.

The webinar, #Herheartmatters, the Importance of Heart and Vascular Disease Prevention and Recovery, will air Sunday, Feb. 13 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Atlantic segment will begin at approximately 2:08 p.m.
