Police charge man for robbery
Police have charged a man in relation to a robbery that occurred last week in Halifax.
On January 25 at approximately 7:35 p.m., police responded to a robbery at the Circle K Irving at 15 Fairfax Drive. A man entered the store, pushed the employee and took a quantity of cigarettes. He then fled the store on foot. The employee was not physically injured.
On January 28, investigators with the General Investigative Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigative Division, along with West Division Patrol members, conducted a search of a residence on Parkland Drive in Halifax and arrested the suspect.
A 31-year-old-man is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to face a charge of robbery.
