Police issue summary offence ticket for failing to follow Health Protection Act

Halifax Regional Police issued a summary offence ticket for failing to comply with the regulations set out in the Health Protection Act.

On December 30 at approximately 3:50 p.m., police responded to an outdoor skating park in Halifax for a report of a person refusing to show proof of vaccination status. Officers issued the woman a summary offence ticket under Section 71 of the Health Protection Act for failing to comply with the act and its regulations, which carries a fine of $2,422.
