Police continue to investigate the murder of Jason Smith

Today marks two years since the murder of 45-year-old Jason Smith of East Preston.

Just before midnight on December​ 15, 2019, police were called to Dartmouth General Hospital because a​ 45-year-old man had been brought in with suspicious, life-threatening injuries. The man later succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation determined that Jason Smith was a victim of a shooting that took place at a home on Brooks Drive in East Preston. The investigation is ongoing, led by Special Investigation Section of the RCMP/HRP Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.
