Police charge man in theft from vehicle
Police have charged a man in relation to a theft from a vehicle that occurred Friday in Halifax.
On December 10 at approximately 9 p.m. police responded to the 3000 block of Connaught Avenue in relation to a report of a man trying to break into a vehicle. The homeowner confronted the man, who fled the area on foot.
Officers arrested the suspect a short time later in the area without incident.
A 30-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face the following charges:
- Theft under $5,000
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Trespassing at night
- Possession of break-in instruments
- Breach of probation (x4)
