myCharge Razor Xtreme PD powerbank recalled due to a fire hazard

Affected products

This recall involves the myCharge Razor Xtreme PD powerbank, model No. RZPD26BK-A.  The product has a blue metallic case with myCharge written on the front of the product case.  The model number is located on the back of the powerbank.  The product has a 4-digit date code on the back that is printed under the manufacturer information.  The date codes applicable to this recall are 2818, 3718, and 3918.  The UPC No. is 847843004754.

Issue

The powerbank’s lithium-ion battery can overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards.

As of November 19, 2021, the company has received 1 report of property damage in Canada, and no reports of injuries.

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the affected products and contact myCharge to arrange for a refund and the return of the powerbank.
