Nova Scotia Health to begin Need a Family Practice Registry validation
Nova Scotia Health will be contacting people on the Need a Family Practice Registry to confirm that they are still looking for a family doctor or nurse practitioner.
Beginning on Friday (Nov. 26), anyone on the Need a Family Practice Registry should receive an email, automated phone call, or letter to confirm that their information is up to date. This will ensure family practices can reach people when they are accepting new patients.
It is important that your address, phone number and/or email address are correct. When family practices are accepting new patients, names from the list are provided in the order in which they have been received, based on community.
Nova Scotians who do not have a primary care provider (doctor or nurse practitioner) should add their names to the registry online at needafamilypractice.nshealth.ca or by calling 811, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
