Police charge two men for break and enters

Police have charged two men for separate break and enters that occurred this week in Halifax.

On October 5 at approximately 1:30 a.m. police responded to a break and enter in progress at Antojo Tacos and Tequila located at 1667 Argyle Street. A man had smashed the glass on a door, entered the restaurant and was taking bottles of alcohol when police arrived. The officers arrested the man without incident.

A 58-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face charges of break and enter, theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and property damage.

Last night, at approximately 1:45 a.m., police responded to a break and enter in progress at the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation located at 279 Herring Cove Road. A man had smashed a window to gain access to the store and was inside when police arrived. The officers arrested the man without incident.

A 43-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face charges of break and enter, possession of housebreaking tools and property damage.
