Police charge woman in relation to a pedestrian strike in a crosswalk in Halifax earlier last evening.
At 5:23 P.M. on Friday September 24th, police patrol members responded to the area of 330 Herring Cove Road in Halifax.​
A pedestrian was being treated by members of the public who had stopped to help and later, Emergancy Health Services. The driver was onscene and an investigation concluded that they failed to stop for the pedestrian while in a crosswalk exhibiting flashing amber lights.
A ticket under the Motor Vehicle Act was issued to the driver under section 125-1 of that act, for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
The pedestrian was injured, but, those injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
