RCMP reminds the public to secure boats and boat motors after reports of theft

Halifax District RCMP is reminding the public to secure their boats and boat motors after receiving complaints of thefts over the weekend.

Between August 22 and August 29, a boat motor was stolen from a boat that was docked near a home on Highway 207 in Three Fathom Habour. The stolen motor is a 2.5 hp Mercury outbard

On August 29, police received a report of a boat and two motors stolen from overnight August 28 to August 29 from a property on Lakeridge Cres.​ The boat was tied to a tree at the edge of the lake and had two motors attached to it. The boat is described as a 14-feet aluminum boat and attached was a Minn Kota motor and a Mercury outboard motor.
