RCMP charge woman in relation to homicide

The Northeast Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit has charged a woman in relation to the homicide of a 42-year-old Sipekne’katik man in Millbrook.

At approximately 2:15 p.m. on July 12, Millbrook RCMP responded to a report of a sudden death at a home on Glooscap Dr. Police located a man deceased. His death was ruled to be a homicide.

On August 26, police arrested a 37-year-old woman in Quebec, without incident. The woman was returned to Nova Scotia.

Adria Gloade, 37, of Millbrook, has been charged with Accessory after the Fact to Murder. She was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court today.

Gloade was previously reported missing and information concerning her being missing was released publicly. Gloade was found safe at the time of her arrest.

Barrington RCMP investigating armed robbery

Barrington RCMP is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a bank on Hwy. 3 in Barrington Passage.

On August 26 at approximately 11:50 a.m., police responded to a report of an armed robbery at a bank on Hwy. 3. Police learned that a man had entered the bank and advised bank employees that he had a weapon. The man was given money and he then left the bank on foot. No one was injured during this incident.

The man is described as mixed race and was wearing a black sweatshirt at the time of the incident.

The investigation is being led by the Barrington RCMP with assistance from the Shelburne County Street Crime Enforcement Unit, Yarmouth/Clare Street Crime Enforcement Unit and Yarmouth RCMP General Investigation Section.
