Police charge man with sexual assault
Investigators with the Sexual Assault Investigation Team (SAIT) of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have charged a man in connection with sexual assaults that occurred between 2017 and 2019.
On July 14, 2021, police received a report of sexual assaults that had occurred in Dartmouth by a massage therapist during appointments.
As a result of the investigation, SAIT members charged Trevor Jordan Stevens, 35, with the following:
- Sexual assault (x3)
- Assault (x3)
- Assault with a weapon (x2)
- Assault causing bodily harm (x2)
- Aggravated assault (x1)
- Assault by choking/suffocating/strangling (x1)
Stevens is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today.
Out of respect and concern for the victim’s privacy and wellbeing, we are not releasing any further details regarding the incident.
