Last Chane to Vote Anywhere
Today, Saturday August 14th is the last chance for eligible voters in Nova Scotia to cast their ballot in any electoral district.
Nova Scotia has a vote anywhere system for the early voting period, until 6 pm on Saturday, August 14. Voters can vote at any early voting location in Nova Scotia, not just in their electoral district. Community polls, advance polls, and returning offices are open across the province for early voting from 9 am – 6 pm today.
Today, Saturday August 14th, is also the last day for voters to take advantage of the advance polls and the deadline to apply in-person or by agent at a returning office for an out-of-district write-in ballot.
Voters can still vote early on Monday, August 16, from 9 am – 6 pm at the returning office in their electoral district.
On election day, Tuesday, August 17, voters may vote at their assigned voting location or the returning office in their electoral district. On election day, voting will be open from 8 am – 8 pm.
To be eligible to vote for the provincial election voters must be 18 years of age or older on August 17th, a Canadian citizen, have lived in Nova Scotia since January 17, 2021.
COVID precautions are in place at all voting locations to ensure voter safety.
