Police charge man in robbery
Halifax Regional Police charged a man in connection with a robbery that occurred on July 15th in Dartmouth.
At 8:45pm on July 15th,2021 Halifax Regional Police officers were investigating a weapon call in the 0-100 block of Leaman Dr in Dartmouth whereby a male had brandished a knife at another male on a Metro Transit Bus. While investigating this matter, officers were approached by another male reporting that he had been robbed at knife point.
At 10:09 pm on July 15th,2021, a male was robbed of his bicycle at knife point in the vicinity of the 200 block of Albro Lake Rd in Dartmouth. A male brandished a knife threatening another male and then fled the area with the male’s bicycle. A 37-year-old man was located and arrested following the above incidents.
The incident was investigated by the Patrol Division and a 37-year-old male is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today on charges of Robbery, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Assault Police Officer, Breach of Probation, and Assault with a Weapon in relation to the two separate files.
