Home Invasion/Armed Robbery in Fletchers Lake

Two men have been arrested and are being held for court after a home invasion in Fletchers Lake on Friday July 2.

RCMP were called to a residence after the occupants reported being robbed by two men carrying a firearm.​ The RCMP attended the scene and shortly afterward located a vehicle on Highway 102 which had fled the scene.​ Two men in the vehicle, 31 year-old Joel Burdon and 35 year-old Aaron Evans, were taken into custody.​ Stolen property taken during the incident has been recovered.​ The men have been charged with various offences including Breaking, Entering and Committing Armed Robbery.​ They are being held in custody and will appear in court on Monday.​

 

Halifax District RCMP are investigating a home invasion and armed robbery at a residence in Hatchet Lake, NS.

Shortly after 7:00 a.m. on July 3, 2021, Halifax District RCMP received a report of a robbery that had occurred at a residence approximately two hours prior.​ The culprits stole some of the victims’ belongings and fled the scene in the victims’ vehicle. The vehicle was subsequently located by Halifax Regional Police in Halifax where 28 year old man and a 28 year old woman were taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.
