Police investigate robbery
Halifax Regional Police is investigating a robbery that occurred this afternoon in Halifax.
Just after 1:30 p.m. on June 30, officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Scotia Bank at 3480 Dutch Village Road, Halifax.
A man entered the bank demanded money and indicated he had a weapon, but none was seen by witnesses. The man received a sum of cash and fled the bank on foot. Patrol officers attended but didn’t locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 40’s, approximately 5’5 with a heavy build. He was wearing a dark hoodie, khaki cargo pants and black sneakers, carrying a black bag with flowers on it.
Investigators are asking anyone who has information on this incident or the suspect to contact police by calling 902-490-5020.
