Police investigating stabbing in Halifax

Members of the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating a stabbing that occurred this evening in Halifax.

At approximately​ 8:21 p.m. Halifax Regional Police patrol members responded to a report of a male who had been stabbed​ at the Chocolate Lake Beach in Halifax.​ Officers located an​ 27-year-old male suffering from a stab wound. The male was transported to hospital with serious injuries.​ ​

Members of the Forensic Identification Unit are currently on scene along with patrol officers.

Updates on the investigation will be provided when available.​ ​

This matter is in the early stages of the investigation, Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact police at 902-490-5016.
