Halifax Regional Police provide update on Friday’s vehicle collision​

Halifax Regional Police are saddened to report that a 5-year-old child involved in a vehicle collision at​ Portland Street and Spring Avenue, Dartmouth on Friday, May 21, has succumbed to injuries. Our condolences and thoughts are with the family and loved ones at this difficult time.​

At​ 4:22​ p.m. on Friday, ​ police responded to a vehicle collision involving a car and pickup truck at the intersection of Portland Street and Spring Avenue in Dartmouth. ​

An adult female driver and a 5-year-old child had been transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. ​

Investigators with the Accident Investigation and Forensic Identification Section continue to conduct the investigation, and there are no further updates available at this time.​
