Police issue tickets for failing to follow the Health Protection Act

Halifax Regional Police issued four summary offence tickets for failing to comply with the regulations set out in the Health Protection Act.​

On Friday, April​ 24th​ at approximately 01:00​ a.m. police responded to a report of a large​ social gathering at a residence on Jubilee Road​ in Halifax that was exceeding the provincially mandated gathering limits. Officers issued summary offence tickets to twenty two persons​ for violating 71(1)(b) of the Health Protection Act which carries a fine of $1,000.

HRP is reminding everyone to follow the current public health measures related to the Covid-19 emergency.
