Police Investigate Weapons Complaint
Halifax Regional Police are currently onscene at a residence in Longard Plaza in Halifax, regarding a weapons complaint. The incident began earlier when a report was made to police that a man was seen in public with a firearm.
The incident is contained and the investigation is ongoing. 2 adult men have been arrested in relation to the investigation.
There are no known threats to public safety at this time and police remain onscene conducting an investigation.

Update: Police Conclude Weapons Complaint
Police have concluded their investigation into the below noted weapons complaint from the earlier release. A weapon was recovered as a result.
A 44 year old man from Halifax has been charged with one count of possessing a weapon dangerous to the public as well as breaching a weapons prohibition order that was in place.
He is in custody and is scheduled to attend Halifax court this morning to face these charges.
It should also be noted that the location police were involved at was actually in the 5000 block of Gerrish Street and not Longard Plaza.
