Police charge 30 drivers for speeding violations
Halifax Regional Police charged 30 drivers with speeding throughout the region yesterday.
The HRP Traffic Unit was monitoring traffic on many of our roadways for speeding violations, and over a period of a couple of hours, officers issued 30 summary offence tickets. Officers issued an additional 30 tickets for other offences including no insurance, expired plates, using a cell phone and for failed safety inspections.
In a continued effort to address traffic safety issues and educate citizens on the rules of the road, our officers focus on speed enforcement. We all have a role to play in keeping our roads safe.
