Police Investigate Weapons Call (Shooting) – Dartmouth

At 2:10 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a reports of a single vehicle collision into a utility pole with an unconscious driver at Mount Edward Road / Cranberry Crescent, Dartmouth

.​ Officers confirmed a shooting had taken place and the adult male driver sustained life-threatening injuries.​

Multiple officers are currently on scene, including K-9, and Forensic Identification members. We ask that people avoid the area.​

Traffic Blocked:​ ​ All vehicle and pedestrian traffic is blocked on Mount Edward Road between Ridgecrest Drive and Stuart Harris Drive.​

And on Cranberry Crescent between Mount Edward Road and Hibernia Court.​ The roads will remain closed for an extended period of time.

Investigators with the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation.​ The investigation is in its preliminary stages and is ongoing.​ ​
