Police Investigate Weapons Call (Shooting) – Dartmouth
At 2:10 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a reports of a single vehicle collision into a utility pole with an unconscious driver at Mount Edward Road / Cranberry Crescent, Dartmouth
. Officers confirmed a shooting had taken place and the adult male driver sustained life-threatening injuries.
Multiple officers are currently on scene, including K-9, and Forensic Identification members. We ask that people avoid the area.
Traffic Blocked: All vehicle and pedestrian traffic is blocked on Mount Edward Road between Ridgecrest Drive and Stuart Harris Drive.
And on Cranberry Crescent between Mount Edward Road and Hibernia Court. The roads will remain closed for an extended period of time.
Investigators with the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are conducting the investigation. The investigation is in its preliminary stages and is ongoing.
