Police charge 24 drivers for speeding violations
Halifax Regional Police charged 24 drivers with speeding in Dartmouth yesterday.
The HRP Traffic Unit was monitoring traffic in the area of Main Street in Dartmouth for speeding violations. Over a period of a couple of hours officers issued 24 summary offence tickets for speeding. Eight additional tickets were issued for other offences including no insurance, expired plates, using a cell phone and for failing to remove snow from the vehicle.
In a continued effort to address traffic safety issues and educate citizens on the rules of the road, our officers focus on speed enforcement. We all have a role to play in keeping our roads safe.
