Update: Missing person located

The 57-year-old who was reported missing from​ Coldbrook​ has been located and is safe.

The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance and retweets on social media.


Missing person: Help the RCMP find Shelley Whidden

 Colchester District RCMP is asking for the​ public’s assistance to locate 57-year-old Shelley Whidden who was last seen Saturday, November 28 in Beaver Brook on Hwy. 236.

Whidden is described as white, 5-foot-5 and 200 pounds with long blond hair​ and hazel eyes.​ No clothing description is available. Shelley Whidden may be driving a grey Toyota Rav4 with dog stickers on the rear window and Nova Scotia Licence FDV559. Whidden may be travelling with two dogs.

When someone goes missing, it has deep and far-reaching impacts for the person and those that know them. We ask that people spread the word through social media respectfully.​
