Police investigating suspicious fire

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a suspicious fire that occurred last night in Halifax.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. police and Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency responded to a fire at a vacant building in the 1100 block of Wellington Street in Halifax. The fire was quickly extinguished by Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency and no one was injured as a result of the fire.

Fire investigators have deemed the fire to be suspicious. The investigation is in the preliminary stages and investigators in the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are asking anyone with information about this incident to call 902-490-5016.
