MV Accident/Road Closure
At 6:08 pm, HRP officers responded to a MV Accident on Herring Cove Road at Bradbury Lane.
An SUV had struck and broke off a NS Power pole which came to rest on the bumper of the SUV supported only by the wires. No reported injuries and the HCR was closed while NS Power attended to assess.
Currently traffic control are on scene and the Herring Cove Road is closed to traffic at the Sobey’s entrance near Wilson’s.
The temporary work-a-round is vehicles are being directed through the Sobeys’s parking lot for North or South bound traffic (at least Metro transit buses) or off Clovis to Williams Lake Road as a bypass. Unknown at this time when Herring Cove road will be re-opened.
