Barricaded man arrested​ without incident​ in Upper Vaughan

RCMPNS is investigating an incident involving a barricaded man that​ occurred this morning in Lower Vaughan.

At approximately 9:04 a.m., Windsor District RCMP responded to a report of a man discharging a firearm the prior evening at a residence on New Ross Rd in Lower Vaughan.​

Police attended the residence and​ the 37-year-old male refused to come out and terminated communications with police. The man was the only occupant at the time of the incident. The man resumed communications on the phone with police and exited the residence on his own just after 1:40 p.m. without incident. There were no injuries as a result of​ the incident.

The man is being released from custody and will appear in Windsor Provincial Court at a later date to be determined to face numerous firearms related charges.
