Hazard identified: Some of the recalled products may have the presence of a common household microorganism, Pluralibacter gergoviae. Pluralibacter gergoviae rarely causes serious infections in healthy individuals. Individuals with weakened immune systems, who suffer from a serious pre-existing condition, who have been treated surgically, or belong to another sensitive group of persons are at an increased risk of infection if they use the contaminated product.
What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and dispose of it. Contact Kimberly-Clark for a refund and for information on disposal. Consumers can identify affected product by looking for the specific lot code found on the bottom of the package and entering it into the Kimberly-Clark lot checker on Cottonelle.com/RecallFAQ .
