Police investigate pedestrian-vehicle collision

Police are investigating a pedestrian-vehicle collision that occurred in Halifax last night.

At approximately 8:10 p.m., officers responded to a pedestrian-vehicle collision in the area of LeMarchant Street and South Street in Halifax. A 23-year-old man was crossing South Street in a marked crosswalk and was struck by vehicle. The man was transported to the hospital by EHS with what are believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision remains under investigation.

The driver, a 35-year-old woman, was issued a Summary Offence Ticket (SOT) for failing to yield to a pedestrian while in a crosswalk.
