Police respond to weapons complaint at the QEII
Today at approximately 1 p.m. police responded to a weapons complaint at the QEII located at 1840 Bell Road in Halifax. Police have one person in custody and there is currently no threat to public safety.
Police remain on scene. A further update will be provided when available.

QEII Halifax Infirmary emergency department currently closed except for life-threatening emergencies
The QEII Halifax emergency department is currently accepting life-threatening emergencies only following a security incident earlier this afternoon. Halifax Regional Police responded and there is no ongoing threat.
We will provide an update when it reopens.
