Operation Christmas
Officers conducted multiple checkpoints throughout the region in support of Operation Christmas. Throughout the month of December, this annual initiative aims to make the roadways safer by reducing impaired driving and encouraging motorists to practice safe winter driving.
Last night, officers checked 450 vehicles and issued one seven-day suspension and arrested one driver with impaired operation of a conveyance.
If you see a potential impaired driver, call 911 immediately and give the call taker your location along with a description of the vehicle, including the license plate number, colour, make and model, the direction of travel for the vehicle and a description of the driver.
