Meteghan RCMP charge two men with Intimidation

Meteghan RCMP has charged two men with Intimidation after responding to a report of unwanted persons at a home in Mavillette.

On November 27, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Meteghan RCMP responded to a report of a verbal dispute among three people outside a residence on Boudreau Rd. in Mavillette. The investigation indicates two men approached another man and threatened him; no weapons were observed.

On November 28, at approximately 9:45 a.m., Meteghan RCMP safely arrested Eric David Thibault, 65, and Zacharie David Thibault, 32, both of Little Brook, Digby County. The two men have been charged with Intimidation in relation to the incident. They remain in custody and are scheduled to appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court on November 29.

Additionally, as part of an ongoing investigation, Zacharie Thibault has been charged with Uttering Threats, Intimidation (2 counts), Extortion, Criminal Harassment and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

The investigations are ongoing.
