In photos – A huge shout out to the over 50 swimmers who took to the chilly water of Halifax Harbour for the United Way Harbour Swim fundraiser!
Big congrats to former HRFE DC Chuck Bezanson for his incredibly fast performance crossing the water and HRFE captain Thompson on her second of third Harbour Swim this week!
All swimmers were monitored by various boats including fire, HRP and RCMP, as well as various other watercraft, on scene until the very last foot touches land. They provide security for the swimmers and rescue if need be.
Congratulations to all the swimmers!
Also, a big thanks to those from the NS Lifeguard Services who provided services for the swim.
