(Utility) Halifax Water Release
Raymond Drive – Planned Water Main Repair
Attention motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, Halifax Water crews will be repairing a water main tomorrow (Thursday, September 3rd) near 76 Raymond Drive in Lower Sackville.
Raymond Drive will be closed to all but local traffic between Glendale Drive and Mayfair Avenue from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. There will be no left turn off Glendale Avenue onto Raymond Drive during this work. See the attached work zone map. The sidewalk will remain open.
There will be no loss of water, wastewater or stormwater services.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone. On-site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and expect delays.
Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
For the safety of work crews and residents, please maintain social/physical distancing requirements of at least 2 metres/6 feet.
