BISSELL® brand Steam Shot™ Handheld Steam Cleaner recalled due to potential burn hazard
Issue
Steam or hot water may escape from the recalled Steam Shot™ Handheld Steam Cleaner while heating or during use, posing a burn hazard.
As of June 4, 2024, the company has received 14 reports of incidents in Canada, and 12 reports of injuries. In the United States, the company has received 169 reports of incidents and 145 reports of injuries.
Affected products
This recall involves the BISSELL® brand Steam Shot™ Handheld Steam Cleaner, Model Series 39N7 and 2994. “STEAM SHOT” is printed on the side of the product. The model numbers are printed on the product rating label located on the bottom of the unit. Product colours include green, grey, white, and blue.

What you should do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Steam Shot™ Handheld Steam Cleaner and contact BISSELL to receive either an $82 credit to be used towards a Canada.BISSELL.com purchase or a $55 refund.
