UPDATE: Man wanted on province-wide arrest warrant has been arrested

Brandon Crawford Grant, 26, who was wanted out of West Petpeswick on a province-wide arrest warrant was located and safely arrested on June 22.

The RCMP would like to thank the public for their shares on social media.

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment continues to seek information on the whereabouts of Brandon Crawford Grant, who’s wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant.

Multiple RCMP resources, including officers from the RCMP Emergency Response Team and RCMP Police Dog Services, were deployed in an effort to safely locate and arrest Grant after a report of a distressed man was received last night. Grant was last seen heading into the woods in West Petpeswick.

RCMP officers ensured that Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital and The Birches were advised of the ongoing police operation. And as a precaution, officers maintained a presence at Eastern Shore District High School.

Throughout the day, officers cleared several locations and structures in the communities of West Petpeswick and Musquodoboit Harbour.

Anyone who sees Brandon Grant or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.

Man wanted on province-wide arrest warrant

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is seeking information on the whereabouts of a man currently wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant.

Brandon Crawford Grant, 26, from West Petpeswick, is presently wanted for Being at Large Without Excuse.

Grant is described as 6-foot-4, 300 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

On June 19, at approximately 9:30 p.m., RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment responded to a report of a man in distress at a home in the 100 block of West Petpeswick Rd. RCMP officers learned the man had damaged the home with an axe and ran into the woods.

Investigators have identified the man as Brandon Grant.

This morning RCMP officers, with the assistance of the RCMP Emergency Response Team, remain in the area in an attempt to locate and safely arrest Grant who may be armed.

Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital and The Birches are currently on lock down and Eastern Shore District High School is on hold and secure as a precaution.

The public can expect to see a heavy police presence in the area.

Anyone who observes Brandon Grant or has information on his whereabouts is asked not to approach him and to call 9-1-1.
