RCMP stops a vehicle travelling at 120 km/h in a 60 km/h zone
RCMP Southwest Nova Traffic Services has charged a youth with stunting in Brooklyn.
On June 7, shortly before 9 a.m., an officer from RCMP Southwest Nova Traffic Services was conducting traffic enforcement on Brooklyn Rd., when a Hyundai Accent was observed on radar travelling at 120 km/h in a 60 km/h zone. A traffic stop was completed on the vehicle. The driver, a 17-year-old youth from Brooklyn, was charged with Stunting and the vehicle was towed.
Stunting in Nova Scotia carries a fine of $2,422.50 for first time offenders, six licence demerit points and an immediate seven-day driver’s licence suspension.
