Police investigate shooting

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a shooting that occurred in Dartmouth this weekend.

On January 21, police received a report of a shooting that had occurred in the area of Burnside and Commodore drives on January 20 at approximately 1:30 a.m. The suspects approached a vehicle stopped at the intersection and fired a number of rounds at the vehicle as they passed by.  A number of rounds struck the victim’s vehicle. There were no reported injuries.

The suspect vehicle is described as a black four door sedan with tinted windows and a lowered suspension.

The investigation is in the early stages and investigators are asking anyone with information or video from the area to call police at 902-490-5020. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers by calling toll-free 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), submitting a secure web tip at www.crimestoppers.ns.ca or by using the P3 Tips app.

Police investigate robbery

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a robbery that occurred in Dartmouth early this morning.

At approximately 2:35 a.m., officers responded to a robbery that had occurred at the Ultramar Gas station at 640 Windmill Road. A man with a knife entered the store, threatened the employee and demanded money. The suspect fled the area on foot with an amount of cash and cigarettes. The victim was not physically injured.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, approximately 5’8” tall with a slim build and wearing a white jacket.
