Police investigate two suspicious fires

Halifax Regional Police is investigating two suspicious fires that occurred in Dartmouth last night.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. officers and Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency were called to a fire outside of an apartment building on Primrose Street. A garbage dumpster had been set on fire behind the building. The fire was extinguished, and no injuries were reported.

While on scene a second fire was located in a garbage dumpster behind another apartment building on Albro Lake Road. The fire was extinguished, and no injuries were reported.

Investigators are looking for a suspect who is described as a man, approximately 5’11” tall, 170 lbs., wearing a black hooded sweater, blue jeans, a light-coloured toque and dark sneakers with white soles.
