Fire Demonstration at Canadian Forces Base Halifax Stadacona
Residents of the Halifax Regional Municipality, especially those who live or transit regularly in the vicinity of Canadian Forces Base Halifax’s Stadacona property, are to be advised that there will be an outdoor fire demonstration conducted at the northwest corner of Stadacona property on Tuesday, May 9 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. as part of a training seminar.
This activity will involve the burning of military clothing and other materials over a portable fire pit to demonstrate their flame retardancy in the event of a fire. Safety teams will monitor the demonstration, and extinguishers will be on hand to ensure positive control of all burning activities. Any smoke or odors resulting from the burn or inconvenience to residents is regretted.
