Speed limit changes coming to St. Margarets Bay Road
The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that the speed limit will be reduced from 70 km/h to 60 km/h on a segment of St. Margarets Bay Road in Head of St. Margarets Bay. The reduced speed zone will be an extension of an existing 60 km/h zone, which will now continue from the previous limit at civic 5507 to Mason Point Road.
Crews will be posting the new signage early next week.
This change is a result of an assessment of the corridor, related to changes in conditions and activities along the roadway.
