Update: Hold and secure lifted
The hold and secure at Dartmouth High and John Martin Junior High schools has been lifted.
There is no threat to public safety.
The investigation is ongoing, and we thank the public for their cooperation.

There is police presence in the area of Dartmouth High, John Martin Junior High and Woodlawn High schools.
Dartmouth High and John Martin Junior High are currently in hold and secure for precautionary reasons and we are working closely with school officials.
We ask the public to avoid the area to allow officers to conduct the investigation. Further information will be provided when available.
