Traffic Delay – Colby Drive
Location: Colby Drive, at the intersection with Delta Drive
Dates: Thursday, Oct. 6
Time: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Work details: This work is for street recapitalization. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: During this time, there will be stop and go traffic. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Closure – Upper Water Street
Location: Upper Water Street from Duke to Barrington streets
Date: Friday, October 7 to Tuesday, October 11
Time: 9 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Tuesday
Work details: This work is for the installation of a new water valve on the water main located adjacent to the Baton Rouge restaurant. This work is in preparation of the by-pass road for the Cogswell District project, which is expected to be in place in late fall 2022.
Traffic impact: Residents will be directed around the construction area by signs and traffic control personnel. A marked detour will be in place from Upper Water and Duke streets to Upper Water and Barrington streets, near the Baton Rouge restaurant. Northbound vehicular traffic on Upper Water Street will be detoured west at Duke Street to Barrington Street. Transport trucks travelling northbound will detour at Lower Water Street moving west on Morris Street. Cyclists will be required to share the road with vehicular traffic and follow the detour signs in place. Access to businesses will be maintained. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternative routes.

Traffic Delay – Herring Cove Road
Location: Herring Cove Road, from the Armdale Rotary to Purcells Cove Road
Date: Tuesday, Oct. 4
Time: 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This work is replace a damaged traffic control cabinet for overhead lane markers.
Traffic Impact: During this work, two-way traffic will be maintained; one lane in each direction. Overhead lane markers will be powered down during the cabinet replacement. The sidewalk on the west side of the road will be closed; all pedestrian traffic will be directed to the east side of the road. Please follow traffic control signage on site. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Dates: Tuesday, Oct. 3 to Wednesday, Oct. 4
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day

Nighttime Road Construction – Bedford Highway
Location: Bedford Highway, from Fourth Street to Rocky Lake Drive
Date: Tuesday, Oct. 4 to Friday, Oct. 7 (weather permitting)
Time: 7 p.m. nightly until 6 a.m. the following morning

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Highway 104, James River
Highway 104, westbound lane about one kilometre west of James River Interchange, Exit 30, is reduced to one lane for about one kilometre.
Twinning work continues until 2023.
Signs are in place and drivers are encouraged to use caution.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Burnett Bridge
Burnett Bridge, over MacLean Brook on Route 224 in Pine Grove/Gays River, is closed until further notice.
Detour signs and a 30-tonne weight restriction are in place. All other trucks are to follow the posted truck route. The detour is via Saint Andrews River Road.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Old Truro Road, Tatamagouche
Old Truro Road, from Kennedy Hill intersection to the Cross Road in North River, is closed until further notice due to a large culvert failure.
A detour is in place.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Salmon River Bridge, Truro
Salmon River Bridge, on Highway 102 between exits 14 and 14A, is reduced to one lane northbound until Monday, October 31, due to planned work on the bridge decking.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Slade Road, Tatamagouche
Slade Road is closed between Lake Road and West Tatamagouche Road until further notice due to a bridge closure.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Route 344 (Main Street), Mulgrave
Route 344/Main Street traffic is being re-routed onto the newly installed detour bridge.
The entrance to Mill Street from Main Street is closed, and drivers should use an alternate route. Signs are in place.
The detour will remain in place until October 15.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102
Highway 102 from Exit 4A to Exit 4C, will have lane reductions and intermittent road closures on the northbound and southbound highway for the construction of the Highway 107-Highway 102 Interchange.
Highway 102 northbound and southbound, Highway 101, Bedford Highway, Bedford Bypass, Duke Street, Glendale Avenue and Sackville Drive will have intermittent road closures for blasting until June 30, 2023.
Traffic control will be on-site. Road closures for blasting will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday to Thursday and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. Lane reductions will occur from sunrise to sunset Monday to Thursday and sunrise to noon on Friday.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 101, Windsor
The eastbound off-ramp at Exit 6, Highway 101, is closed for the construction of a new interchange to downtown Windsor.
A detour is available via Exit 5A. The off-ramp will be closed until September 2023.

HANTS COUNTY: Hydes Bridge, Lantz
Hydes Bridge on Highway 277 is closed until further notice.
A detour is in place via Dutch Settlement Road, Elmsdale Road and Trunk 2. Signs are in place.

INVERNESS COUNTY: East Margaree Road
East Margaree Road will be closed to all traffic for installation of a concrete culvert until Wednesday, October 5.
The detour is via East Margaree Cross Road and the Cabot Trail.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Indian Path Bridge, Bayport
Indian Path Bridge, Route 332, is closed for replacement until further notice.
A detour is in place.

PICTOU COUNTY: East River West Side Road, Eureka
The section between 6280 East River West Side Road and Churchville Road is closed until October 31 for the replacement of the Eureka Mills Bridge.
A detour is in place.

PICTOU COUNTY: Westville Road
Westville Road at the Westville Road Bridge over Highway 104 is closed nightly, Sunday through Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Work continues until October 31. A detour will be in place and drivers should proceed with caution.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Port Royal Bridge, Isle Madame
Port Royal Bridge on Port Royal Road is closed until further notice. A detour is in place on MacEachern Road.

RICHMOND COUNTY: West Bay Road, St. Peters
West Bay Road, from Nature Dream Boulevard westerly for 4.6 kilometres, is reduced to one lane for repaving until Friday, October 7.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

RICHMOND COUNTY: Trunk 4
Trunk 4, from Riverside Road eastbound for about 7.1 kilometres, is reduced to one lane for repaving until Friday, October 7.

SHELBURNE COUNTY: Highway 103, Jordan Falls
Highway 103, about 100 metres west of Exit 24, has alternating lane closures for rehabilitation work on Jordan Falls Bridge until October 14.
Traffic control is on-site. Work takes place weekdays from sunrise to sunset.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Highway 105
Highway 105, from 3.2 kilometres west of Trunk 30, easterly to 600 metres east of Route 312, is reduced to one lane for roadwork until October 31.

Jamesville Bridge is reduced to one lane for repairs until October 15.
