John Deere Lawn Tractors recalled due to injury hazard

Issue

The rear wheel hubs may fail, resulting in lack of braking and propulsion.

As of June 30, 2022, the company has received 3 reports of incidents with no injuries in Canada. In the United States, the company has received 29 reports of incidents with one injury.

Affected products

This recall involves green and yellow lawn tractors with various deck sizes. The lawn tractors are printed with “John Deere” and a model number (“X380” or “X390”) on the side. The recalled lawn tractors can be identified by the following model and unique product identification number (note: the “X” character in the identification number will vary depending on the other digits).

What you should do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lawn tractors and contact an authorized John Deere dealer for a free inspection and repair.
