Digby RCMP has charged a man after a home invasion on Water St. in Digby.
On June 2 at approximately 7:15 a.m., Digby RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion on Water St. in Digby. RCMP investigators learned that at approximately 4 a.m., the victim, a 60-year-old Digby man, heard someone banging on the front door of his apartment. When the victim opened the door, the unknown person forced their way into the home and assaulted the victim. The suspect then stole the victim’s wallet, car keys and cellular phone before fleeing the scene in the victim’s car. The victim suffered minor injuries during the incident.

A search warrant was later executed at a home on King St. where the suspect and a second person were safely arrested. During the search, investigators seized the stolen vehicle, the victim’s bank card and several items purchased using the bank card.
