Police on scene of suspicious package in Halifax
Update – Police have completed their investigation in relation to a suspicious package in the area of Chebucto Road and Chebucto Lane. It was determined that there was no threat to public safety.
Chebucto Road has been reopened to traffic.
Police are on scene of a suspicious package in a playground near the intersection of Chebucto Lane and Chebucto Road in Halifax. Officers and members of the Forensic Identification Section are on scene.
We are asking the public to avoid the area to allow officers to conduct their investigation.
At this point, there are no traffic disruptions in relation to this incident.
