Police investigate robbery with firearm

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a robbery that occurred Thursday December 16th 2021 between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.

Just after 1:00 a.m.​ December 16th 2021, officers responded to a report of a robbery in the area of Russell St and Isleville St., Halifax, NS. A man produced a firearm and attempted to rob the cab driver he had gotten a drive with.

The suspect was located a short time later in the 5600 block of Russell St., Halifax and was arrested without incident. The matter is still under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division- General Investigation Section.
