Road Closure – Birmingham Street
Location: Birmingham Street, between Artillery Place and Clyde Street.
Date: Thursday, Aug. 19 to Friday, Aug. 20.
Time: 2 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday.
Work details: This is to facilitate work on a watermain, in support of the Imagine Spring Garden Road project.
Traffic impact: Birmingham Street, between Artillery Place and Clyde Street, will be temporarily converted to a two-lane street to facilitate access to parkades. Local access will be maintained.

Road Construction – Robie Street
Location: Robie Street, from Young to Prescott streets
Date: Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This work is for pavement rehabilitation. This project supports the 2021-25 Regional Council Strategic Priorities Plan to establish a safe and accessible integrated mobility network.
Traffic impact: Lane drops will be in place while this work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Nighttime Road Construction – Bayers Road
Location: Bayers Road, between Connaught and Vaughan avenues.
Date: Overnight on Wednesday, Aug. 18 and on Thursday, Aug. 19.
Time: 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night.
Work details: This work is for pavement rehabilitation, in support of the Bayers Road Transit Priority Corridor project.
Traffic impact: Lane drops will be in place while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Road Construction – Wyse Road
Location: Wyse Road from Boland Road to Faulkner Street
Date: Wednesday, August 18
Time: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Work details: This work is related to Phase One of the MacDonald Bridge Bikeway Connectors Project.
Traffic impact: The traffic signals at the intersection of Boland Road and Wyse Road will be shut down during this work and traffic control personnel will be in place. Lane drops will be in place from Boland Road to Faulkner Street while work is underway. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Location: Highway 7, from Montague to Ross roads.
Date: Tuesday, Aug. 10 to Friday, Aug. 13 Monday, Aug. 16.
Time: Tuesday, Aug. 10 from noon to 7 p.m. (inbound lanes only), and from Wednesday, Aug. 11 to Friday, Aug. 13 Monday, Aug. 16 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

Construction during COVID-19: Construction crews will strive to maintain physical distancing measures, however, residents may see workers within two metres of each other while completing certain tasks which aligns with the exemptions outlined in the Provincial Health Order. If approaching construction crews, residents are asked to maintain at least two metres of physical distancing.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Beaver Harbour Road, Beaver Harbour
Beaver Harbour Road, from Trunk 7 southerly for three kilometres, is reduced to one lane for roadwork until Tuesday, Aug. 31.
Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Dillmans Bridge, Meaghers Grant
Dillmans Bridge on Wyse Road is closed until further notice. A detour is available via Old Guysborough Road. Signs are in place.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 111
Paving at exits 4 and 11 on Highway 111 is expected to be complete Friday, Aug. 20.
Work will take place between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Detours will be in place periodically.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Peggys Point Road, Peggy’s Cove
Peggys Point Road, from the Visitor Information Centre west for about one kilometre, is reduced to one lane for roadwork until Friday, Aug. 20.
Work to take place from sunrise to sunset.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 102, Lantz
A temporary detour is in place on Highway 102 north of Exit 8, Elmsdale, for the replacement of the Nine Mile River bridges, northbound and southbound. This work is part of ongoing construction for the new Lantz Interchange and Connector Road.
The detour has a reduced speed limit of 80 kilometres an hour and is expected to be in place until mid-summer.
The Lantz Interchange and Connector Road is expected to be complete and open to traffic by Sunday, Oct. 31.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Highway 104, Nova Scotia-New Brunswick Border
The checkpoint site at the Nova Scotia-New Brunswick border on Highway 104 will be expanded to allow an additional lane for flow-through traffic. Work is anticipated to begin Monday, Aug. 16, and is expected to take about a week.
Drivers should expect additional delays while the work is underway.

DIGBY COUNTY: Joggins Bridge, Highway 101
Joggins Bridge, between exits 25 and 26, will be reduced to one lane with a reduced speed limit of 80 kilometres an hour due to bridge rehabilitation. Work will be ongoing from today, Aug. 13, to Sunday, Oct 31.
Traffic control is in place.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Highway 103
Highway 103, between exits 9 and 10, has alternating lane closures for roadwork until Thursday, Sept. 30.
Work takes place from sunrise to sunset.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104, Eastbound Lanes
Highway 104 eastbound between exits 20 and 21 is reduced to one lane for road work until Tuesday, Aug. 31.
Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
